I needed a crafty gift to go along with a little outfit for a friend's baby gift. With a little Peachy inspiration from their challenge this week, I put a bear as my focal point. You can find their current challenge here. And you can find my gift below:
So, the challenge is to use a bear on your 3D object. I had this plastic jar from The Paper Studio, and thought it would be a great gift to decorate so the mom can put little trinkets or baby toiletries in it and put it on the dresser or changing table. Decorative and useful--excellent!
The first side has this adorable teddy bear cut from Cricut's Create a Critter. I hid its face and gave it a new Peachy Keen one with my very new PK-170 Teddy Bear Assortment. I love this new set! It's an assortment of all teddy bear faces from 3/8" to 1 3/8"! For this and the other sides I used some patterned papers from my stash--the baby themed paper is from The Paper Studio, and the other two I have forgotten. They were in a stack that has been dismantled. I cut some shapes and frames from Elegant Edges and some phrases from Create a Critter.
I inked the edges of each piece with some chalk inks from Studio G, and added some blingy swirls from Recollections.
I even put a pink blingy swirl on top of the jar. You can see it peeking at you in these pictures.
I put a tiny pearl from Want to Scrap on the eye of the little birdie and the bling swirling away from its mouth like it's singing.
I hope you liked my jar. I think it's one of the cutest things I've done in a while--I want to make more! But time is limited, and the laundry and supper won't wait! Lol. But it's fun to play for a little while!
If you have time and want to play in the fun, check out this challenge I'm entering:
