Daisy Card for a Friend

Hi!  Whew, it's been a while since I've been here!  I've been busy working on some swaps that were due last week and some that are due this week!!  I signed up for too many being the procrastinator that I am! LOL!  I'll show some of them later.  But I made a card for my friend from some of the scraps, and I'll share it with you now.

I used some vellum for the flower petals, cut with the George Cricut cartridge.  The face is from Peachy Keen Stamps' Everyday Character Faces.  I thought it added a fun touch to the flower.

Here's a close-up of the sentiment from my Heidi Grace Designs Quotes set.  I don't think I inked it well, (need to get out my refills, lol) but it added to the distressed look of the card, with some torn and inked edges and jute twine.  I like this card; it reminds me of working in the garden in Spring-time, getting a little dirty while planting fun flowers to keep us company through the season and into summer.

I'm entering this card in three challenges.  The first is Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 13, found here.  It is "Anything Goes"--all you have to do is create a project using Peachy Keen Stamps.

The second challenge is Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #135, found here.  Their challenge was to use something transparent.

The other challenge is Love to Create Challenge #11-Friends.  You can find it here.  I haven't been entering challenges for very long, so it was a little hard for me to combine three on one project, but I think this little card worked out just right!  Now to decide--which friend to send it to . . .

Rainy Day card

Don't we all have a rainy day now and then, even if the weather outside is sunny and bright?  A cute card from a friend may lift the spirits and bring a ray of sunshine to that gloomy mood!

This cute face from Peachy Keen Stamps combined with this sentiment from Close To My Heart came together for my Rainy Day encouragement card.  I used scraps from my stash for most of it, and cut the umbrella with the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge.  I used Ranger's Glossy Accents to add a little rainy wetness!

I'm entering this project in Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 12.  It's a card sketch that can be found here.  It's due tonight at midnight, so get to work if you want to enter; they are awarding two "Top Peaches" for this challenge, and one person will win a $10 Gift certificate to their store!

Easter Spinner Card--Challenge

Here's another spinner card I made with the Close to My Heart "Bunny Love" stamp set.  It's for my son--he was excited to see the first one I made, so I thought he would enjoy the little bunny blowing bubbles!

I'm entering it in the latest challenge (#133)  for Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challeges, found here.  It is to make a card that moves or is interactive, and you can enter up to three items for the same challenge!  So yes, this is my second entry!

This card is going in his Easter basket, so I better go get it all together!!  Have a Glorious Easter!!

Easter Spinner Cards

I recently found some tutorials for cards that move, and the spinner card looked super easy!!  So I got out my Close to My Heart "Bunny Love" stamp set and got to craftin'!

Once I get started, sometimes, it's hard to quit!  I made 5 of these cards last night.

This one's for my oldest daughter.  I'm going to enter it in Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenges #133.  It is to make a card that moves or is interactive.  You can find the challenge here.

Right now I've got to get to stuffing some eggs for our little hunt tomorrow after church.  Hope you all have a Joyous Easter!!
